Kasetsart University Chalermphrakiat Sakon Nakhon Province Campus (KU CSC) is proud to highlight visiting IAESTE exchange student Mr. Dhruv Melwani from JECRC University, India, whose research internship under Dr. Vatwong Greepala (1 July – 18 September 2026) serves as a blueprint for interdisciplinary innovation.

Bridging Data Science and Material Engineering
Rather than remaining strictly within his home field of Computer Science, Dhruv actively immersed himself in Civil Engineering to build a robust predictive framework for fly ash reactive powder concrete:

Computational Rigor: He introduced advanced techniques like group-aware cross-validation and conformal calibration to guarantee a leakage-safe pipeline. Dhruv built the computational workflows, produced presentation figures, and managed the code repository supporting collaboration with Mahasarakham University.

Engineering Mastery: Dhruv chose to deeply understand material dynamics rather than treat the problem as a black box. His selection of model inputs and interpretation of results directly aligned with the physical behavior of the concrete material.
